Horned Nerite Snail (Clithon diadema)

1 review Write a Review

These tiny snails are covered in interesting bands of black from which horns and spikes rise from their shells. Clithon diadema, the Horned Nerite Snail, has a fearsome reputation for devouring types of algae that virtually nothing else will -- the dreaded Black Beard Algae (BBA) is one of this snail's favorite staples at breakfast, lunch and dinner! Not to mention that Green Dust Algae and Diatoms are also on the snail's list of delicious treats. These are a rare find in the USA so act fast. ***These snails DO NOT ship individually bagged*** Approximately .5 inches in length
