The Scarlet Badis (Dario dario) is a small Asian freshwater fish in the family Badidae of the order Anabantiformes, although at times it behaves much like a nano cichlid. Spending lots of time on the bottom of the aquarium hunting for planaria and other treats, this tiny fish is a fantastic addition to your aquarium. Its interesting hunting behavior is a fun to observe, and the males turn a pleasant blue speckled with scarlet on their flanks.
