Description
This incredible killifish is very peaceful, in fact somewhat timid, and is the happy result of a mutation created and then bred by a Finnish aquarist name 'Hjerssen' in 1952. The wild relatives of Hjerssen's Lyretail Panchax originally hail from Cape Lopez and in surrounding areas in Gabon. This fish spawns easily in nearly any water, choosing to deposit eggs in fine-leafed water plants, such as aquatic moss. It will also spawn in gravel if there are no suitable plants present, and eggs have a long gestation period. This fish does not ship individually bagged; these fish are adults with current males approximately 2.5 inches long each and females approximately 1.5 to 2 inches long each.
