Description

This wonderfully tolerant plant is short, fresh, green and compact and is often used in aquarium foregrounds because it usually does not grow taller than 3 inches if sufficient lighting is used. Even though it hails from the Cristalino River (Rio Cristalino) in southern Amazonas with its soft water, it is tolerant of moderately harder water in aquariums, although it thrives best in soft water conditions. In lower light, it will try and grow taller than usual so trimming it will encourage side shoots to form. Whether under low or medium lighting, given enough time this plant will populate the foreground of your aquarium. This is a cluster of fully rooted aquarium plants averaging 5 stems and was grown submerged (totally under water) in our own farm aquariums. Live aquarium plants may contain snails.
