Description
This wonderous plant from Viet Nam is often used in background aquascaping arrangements where thick bursts of soft, green, needle-like leaves are desired; while the leaves of this plant appear soft, its stem can be surprisingly spindly. Limnophila aromatica's tendency to grow thick is helpful for filling in large empty spaces and it has a habit of sending out low horizontal side stems which grow out from the central cluster. This plant has even found its way into the cuisine of Viet Nam due to the fragrant nature of the stems and leaves. This is a cluster of fully rooted aquarium plants averaging 10 stems and was grown submerged (totally under water) in our own farm aquariums. Live aquarium plants may contain snails.
