Description
Corydoras adolfoi, also known as Adolfo's cory, is a popular and peaceful freshwater catfish native to the Rio Negro basin in Brazil. These fish are typically found in soft, acidic, tannin-stained blackwater tributaries and flooded forest areas. To care for them in an aquarium, maintain a temperature between 66.2-78.8°F (19-26°C), a pH range of 5.5-7.5, and use soft sand or fine gravel substrate to make these fish happy as the snuffle along the bottom looking for food. Provide ample hiding places with plants, driftwood, or rocks, and ensure a gentle filtration system to maintain clean, well-oxygenated water. These social fish thrive in groups of at least six or more, so plan accordingly when stocking your tank. They are omnivores and should be fed a varied diet of sinking pellets, wafers, and occasional frozen foods. These fish ship individually bagged, one fish per bag.
